For Adults

For the adults there are housegroups which many have found to be very helpful. Everyone is really friendly and it's good to have others to talk with and to encourage one another.

There are the Sunday Services which form the heart of the church activities and the chance for prayer as well

On the first Thursday of each month between 30 and 40 people gather in the church centre at 12:30pm for a "Friendship Lunch" of soup and sandwiches. This lunch is open to anyone who is able to attend. It is a time when people are able to relax and get to know each other a bit better in a relaxed atmosphere. It is unusual for everyone to leave at 1:45, since people take advantage of the chance to chat. There is usually a short epilogue/thought given by someone towards the end of the time. There is a nominal charge for the Lunch.

"Ochil Services": We run short Sunday services (on a Sunday afternoon) at the local Ochil Nursing home. These are greatly appreciated by those who are too frail to attend services at the Church Centre.

The ladies get together monthly on Thursdays at 2pm for the "Ladies Fellowship". It's an opportunity to get together in friendship. The programme is varied relating to matters of interest not always with a directly Christian theme. The ages of the group vary from young mums to the older ladies of the church.

There is a whole range of social activities through the year. Things like Hill Walking (see the OAFS) and Ceilidhs (for any of you in far-away places that's a kind of Scottish dance and fun evening); there are Barbeques and football. for those who want.

The younger adults get together for a whole range of activities too.

There's a great idea too for people who are new to finding out about the basics of Christianity. It's called the Alpha Course and it's an ideal opportunity for those exploring Christianity to discuss with others whatever issues they feel they would like to try and find answers.
