House
Groups
The praying, fellowshipping, Bible-studying, socialising,
heart of Perth Baptist Church are its housegroups. While we get a taste
of all these things in Sunday worship, we explore them further in small
groups during the week.
Our housegroups are the place where people
get to know one another, pray and support one another and study
the Bible together; seeking to unearth the implications of God’s
word for today.
Our housegroups are open to all. We
don’t insist that people go to the nearest housegroup to them;
but invite everyone to try the groups and settle where they feel comfortable.
Many people who aren’t formally church members are active in housegroups
too.
Our housegroups are diverse. Each
group has its own leaders, its own style and its own traditions. Every
group feels slightly different. However – all the groups study
the same Bible passages or themes at the same time.
Our housegroups are our commitment to one another
in fellowship. As a church we are not merely people who happen
to worship in the same building each week – but are also a people
committed to each other’s wellbeing. Our housegroups exist to
facilitate this.
Contact
the church, or see the noticeboard in the church centre foyer, for
details of times, places and leaders.
We think that one of the most important things our
fellowship can offer you is a welcome in one of our housegroups.
