Youth Activities

Nurture Group - Thursday 4pm

The Nurture Group is in many ways the equivalent of a housegroup for young people. It has an informal format and is aimed at anyone in the Youth fellowship and their friends who want to meet for a time of prayer and Bible study. The informal format and setting are intended to encourage participation, and the meetings provide opportunities for the young people to apply God's Word to their lives and to discuss and pray about situations which arise in school and other aspects of their lives.

Sometimes the group have used the same study material as the "PBC groups", but at times other material has been used.

Venue: Various homes

Youth Fellowship - Monday 7:30 - 9:30pm

The Youth Fellowship (YF) is aimed at young people at secondary school. The evenings are a blend of games and activities, focussed around a theme. Themes that have been covered include self worth, the new age movement, the occult, anger and basic Christianity. The programme is based upon participation and this extends to any adults who attend!!

In addition to the weekly meeting, other activities are arranged from time to time, including weekends away.

Venue: The Church Centre

Bible Class - Sunday 11:15am

The Bible Class is aimed at pupils who are in 1st to 3rd year at secondary school. It meets during the second part of the morning service (11:15am only). The emphasis is on learning about God's Word.

Area 1 - Friday 8 - 10pm

Area 1 is a youth club for 12-16 year olds who may have no connection with any church. The emphasis is on having fun in a relaxed atmosphere and showing that Christians are normal people! There's plenty of activities to choose from - games in the sports hall, snooker, table tennis, crafts, and a cafe. There are also regular outings to ten-pin bowling and concerts.
